We have always encouraged support of our local community groups.  I recently joined the Dripping Springs Women's Club as a Board Member. 

The Dripping Springs Women’s Club is dedicated to providing women who live or work in the Dripping Springs area means for interaction, information and community involvement through programs and activities of interest and enjoyment. The next meeting to be held on February 9th will be a Volunteer Fair & Saturday Brunch  at the Terrace Club to recognize and promote the local nonprofit groups.  The keynote speaker is E.D. Hill, a high-profile journalist with local ties (and eight children!).  Contact Claireen Fellers for more information, 894-4410.

The DS Women's Club is working on a website that will list all local nonprofit groups, so that when you are ready to volunteer, you'll have one source to see what programs are available in our area.

Coming up locally. the 3rd annual Bone Appetit fundraiser for PAWS will be held January 26. Call Patti Clark 512-894-0219 for info. The DS Lions club is having a blood drive Jan. 27th from 12:30-4:30 pm at the DS Methodist Church on RR 12.
