Hays County Commissioners Court has issued a burn ban effective at 9:30 am June 3rd.  The ban restricts fireworks sale and use as well as burning any material outdoors as well as the use of "stick and fin" fireworks.  High winds up to 40 mph, low humidity, and dry conditions make it a potentially dangerous situation for fires to break out and spread quickly.  Sheriff Bridges has asked all citizens to use caution and be extremely careful.
